Hotel Waterloo & Backpackers, Wellington

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were kept clean and tidy every day, with fresh towels provided on some occasions. However, the service at the reception desk left much to be desired. On the bright side, the location was incredibly convenient, just across the road from the railway station, offering easy access to transport links. As for the facilities, they were not elaborated upon, but I found them satisfactory overall.

I can't say enough about this hotel's location; right in the heart of downtown Wellington and with excellent transport links in and out of the city. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well-equipped, just like in the photos, and I particularly enjoyed relaxing by the gas fire. However, the service could definitely be improved as the staff at the reception desk seemed uninterested and not very helpful. The homemade dishes at the dining area were a lovely touch, although the menu was somewhat limited. Despite the service drawbacks, the facilities were top-notch, making my stay comfortable and convenient.
